Dentists! Eeeek!

What can I say I am shit-scared of a dentist! As a kid (from an age perspective, not a mental level - need to clarify), I had braces (to fix Bugs-Bunny teeth) and ever since I have a dentist phobia!

Recently I had to visit the dentist - after about a decade (yup told you I was scared) and found out that I needed to come back because I have one tooth fractured, needed 3 fillings and two sessions for "deep cleaning". You can bet I was out of the dentist's office in a jiffy!

I was literally shaking because I was so scared!

Anyways, that was a month ago, and today was my last session for the next three months - hopefully. This last filling that was filled in today was BIG and I am supposed to keep my fingers crossed and pray that the filling does not break in the next week, because if it does then I would need a crown (what did you know I am gonaa be king - and decent from royalty - out of my way commoner!).

CNN is running a pretty intersting story here on how Americans and Indians (who are American Citizens now) are moving to India for better opportunities.

Chatterbox

I decided to remove chatterbox after I played with it a little more and found out that it had some spyware in the popup windows it opened to view comments, etc.

Speaking of spyware, everyone has an opinion on this, I personally like Adaware and Spybot that you can download from here and here respectively. I would highly recommend to use both the products and also to make sure you update their definitions like you do for your antivirus software.

What do you think of the new look? I did spend some time on it (well it takes time to leech right)? ;)

Guys VW Beetles!

Lately I have ntoiced a few guys driving around in a VW Bettle. In my opinion a guy driving a Beetle is just plain wrong!! If you are riding in one with your wife/girlfriend/whatever then I guess its ok. But a guy owning one?? I think you should drown first! :)

I found this site for finding out connection strings. Quite helpful when you need something trivial like this. Now why did I not think of this before? :)

Also, if you work on the Microsoft platforms (like yours truly) then you can get a similar function (though not as many choices) by creating a .udl file. So, right click and select new text file, rename that to whatever-you-want.udl and double click on it. Follow the prompts till you are finished. Then right click on the file again and open with Notepad (or your favourite text editor) and voila - you have the connection string.

Well - I have decided to take the plunge. After many dear friends and colleagues pestering me about where the heck was my blog - I decided what the heck.
